Experiential Ranch Education Camp
(aka “Ranch Camp” for short)
In this setting we focus on youth leadership development through the guidance and teachings of the animals, the gardens and nature based wisdom. This program is for school aged children at any grade level and teaches leadership, farming/ranching, animal husbandry, homesteading and horsemanship skills.
Our youth leadership model pairs our younger and newer students alongside an older or advanced youth leader who has grown up on the ranch and trained through the years first as an attending student, then as a youth leader in training as one of our working students, then moving into ranch staff. Our ranch camp youth leaders have trained to mentor and partner with those incoming students. Our youth leadership experiential ranch education programming takes on an active roll in cultivating the leaders of tomorrow by embodying a mentor/mentee leadership growth mindset. Each participant makes a contribution and has a role, much like each horse in the herd. There is something here for all ages! Together we build teams and learn to work together in all sorts of settings, caring and learning with each other, the animals and in the sacred space building culture, community and connection!
